Hi and welcome to my page!
Here is a favourite quote as a way of introduction: “Two things fill the mind with ever new and increasing admiration and awe, the more often and steadily we reflect upon them: the starry heavens above me and the moral law within me" (Immanuel Kant).

Having grown up in Bulgaria and having received my PhD in political science from Harvard University (and a post-doc from Cambridge University), I have always been torn between restless curiosity and the urge to rein it in through rigorous analysis. In my work, I strive to explore current puzzles and relay them with integrity and rigour.

I am currently an associate lecturer in politics at the University of Winchester in the UK and at the Florida State University London Program.

My latest monograph:
Democracy beyond Elections: Government Accountability in the Media Age
