Publications
My work strives to bridge disciplinary divides in a meaningful and precise manner so that real world problems are analysed in their intrinsic wholeness.
My publications spread through three thematic pillars:
(1) theory of democracy
(2) democracy in Russia and the post-communist countries
(3) media and blame avoidance.
This strain of my research includes finding a framework to analyse more than 100 models of the crisis and transformation of democracy. Thinking about democracy in terms of supply and demand.
This strain of my research examines: the reasons why allegations surface in the media and how incumbents respond to these allegations.
Empirical examination of protests, corruption, government accountability and territorial disputes in the post-communist region.
